Freya’s par-baked artisan bread
We’re about to try this out, but $6.15 for a loaf, when if I’d been ten minutes earlier I could have bought the real thing from the Pyrenees for $3.50 I am feeling like this is going to be a lot more expensive than it’s going to taste.
– The verdict –
Absolutely bloody delicious and well worth paying the ‘after hours’ fee for buying from Alberton Fine Foods. Edith, our one year old, chomped her way through four chunks of it with avocado, and we used the rest for steak sandwiches with caramelised onion, tomato and mayo.
The steak was from Nosh Dominion Road – the whole meal was fab. Much much much better than the working late alternative of takeaways (although we did a pretty good job of pimping Burger Winsconsin basic burgers last Friday – more on that later).
